eShun takes a swipe at VGMA for being unfair to Female Musicians in Ghana

 

Sensational and beautiful songstress, eShun, has taken a swipe at the recent VGMA for awarding only female vocalist of the year to the women for its 17 years of operation. She said the VGMA should award more female artist to inspire a lot of ladies since they are doing very well on the musical scene. eShun said this in an interview with Dr. Pounds on an Accra-Based Radio Station Hitz 103.9 FM.

“For the past 17 years in the life of the Ghana Music Awards no female has won Artiste of the year”, she stated.

The New Gurl hit maker, said organizers need to be fair to the females in the music industry and help project female artists in the music industry, adding that a lot of female artists like Irene Logan, Becca, Yaa Yaa, Kaakie, Efya and others are doing a lot that needs to be recognized on a stage like that.

eShun blasts TV3 for dumping and neglecting contestants after their Reality Shows

 

Female sensational singer, eShun, (Full Name Ethel Esi EShun) who participated in season 5 of TV3 Mentor reality show has expressed outmost disappointment towards the management of TV3 for neglecting contestants after their shows.

Speaking on Hitz 103.9 FM, an Accra Based Radio Station’s Hitz Gallery with Maximous Mensah aka Dr. Pounds last Wednesday, eShun explained that after the Mentor Reality Show, TV3 management left contestants "to their fate". She said they don’t help build the final product of the competition though in a contract that they sign with the final four, it is stated that they will support them when they need help by way of promotions on their network for three months.

eShun releases New Single Didadi

One of Ghana’s sensational and fast rising female artist, singer, eShun, has release her Didadi song on her website, www.eShunonline.com, other major streaming free download websites like djmensahonline.com  and on all radio stations across the country. The song combines different genres in singing and eShun’s ability in song-writing is a given talent!” Didadi is produced by Dr. Ray Beatz.

The Meye and New Gurl hit maker, is determined to make a positive and lasting legacy in the Ghana music industry and as well as the African continent at large with her new track. Didadi which is the song title, simply means an ‘Awesome feeling’. Thus, the great feeling you get when you count your blessings after a long day of hustling, and tell yourself Yes, just as I got here, all my expectations in life will happen in time.

According to the beautiful songstress, she had help from some musicians in Kenya and Tanzania on her Didadi song. eShun says she needed to sing in Swahili; so they had to teach her the language – at least some Swahili lines that she needed for the song. “Thanks to all the people who listened to the song and contributed especially Mr. Senyo of the University of Cape Coast and Mr. Kiki Banson (Becca’s Former Manager) who is contributing to my song writing skills”, eShun added.

The sensational singer says, you don’t need weed or booze to get away from your worries. So this is what she is saying, if you have a problem and you can’t solve it, why worry when that won’t solve it. If you can solve it, then solve it, again why worry.

Tap Water in Cape Coast is undrinkable – eShun

The Meye Hit maker, eShun, has described the water running through taps of some residents in Cape Coast as unfit for washing less to talk about drinking. According to her, the water is brown in outlook with some particles in it.

“I have been in Cape Coast for some time now and every time I fetch water from the taps and put it down for just about an hour, the dirt I find in the water is scary”, ” eShun, the Glo X-Factor 1st runner up explained.

The sensational Afro-pop and Urban Highlife singer says, she has been in Cape Coast for some time now and has learnt it has been like that for a long time now. “I just don’t understand why that is the case and nothing has been done about it?” she quizzed.

As Ghana joins the rest of the world in marking World Water Day, eShun, encouraged people to drink more water because of its importance to the body and our health, “I am a proof that drinking more water keeps your body healthier and stronger. Again it is the cheapest means of keeping oneself from getting sick.”
